Our just-retired Narcotics Detection Canine was diagnosed with cancer on 3/19/08 and had his right rear leg amputated on 3/21/08. I am sad to say that Oden went passed away on August 4th, 2008. He was getting weak and had cancer lesions in his other hip and spine. Oden fought a valiant battle and is sorely missed by his family! He will always be our hero. Here is our tripod in his ride home from the vet (The day after amputation surgery... doesn't he look GREAT? He was SO happy to be back in a patrol car!)
